Man, 65, denies harassing Aberdeen neighbours

A 65-year-old man allegedly spied on his Aberdeen neighbours during a campaign of harassment lasting more than a decade, a court has heard.

Richard Gordon denies breach of the peace against seven of his Union Grove neighbours between 1997 and last year.

Witness Patricia Baxter said she kept a diary of events and told Aberdeen Sheriff Court: "I just felt stalked."

Another witness, Nicholas Barnett, told the court the accused would stare through his window or follow him.

Mr Gordon said he did not dispute the fact that he stared out of his flat window for hours during the day and said he regularly leaned out of it because it "eased his back problems".

The trial continues next month.
