Two bikers killed in north east road crashes named

Two motorcyclists killed in a separate crashes in Aberdeenshire have been named by police.

Gerrit Jan De-Jonge, 49, from Oyne, was involved in a crash with a Mitsubishi Shogun on the B9002, near the Oyne Fork, on Thursday morning.

He was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary but died from his injuries.

And Robert Miller, 38, from Elgin, died on the A98 near Portsoy after a collision with a tractor later that day.

The two deaths brought the number of fatalities on Grampian's roads this year to 28.
