Train called University of Aberdeen unveiled

A train which has been named University of Aberdeen has been unveiled.

The First ScotRail train was named in the university's honour by FirstGroup in the city.

FirstGroup chief executive Moir Lockhead said the company had a long and successful partnership with the university.

Prof Ian Diamond, principal of the University of Aberdeen, said: "It is an absolute honour. it's wonderful to now see our name on the side of the train."
