Two Norwegian trawlers have been detained by Scottish fisheries protection officers on Shetland.
It is understood the action was taken after the Buefjord and Sklinnabanken were boarded while out at sea, some time over the past few days.
Marine Scotland confirmed that the two trawlers were being held at Lerwick harbour.
An investigation has begun into the fishing activities and catch reporting of each of the boats.
The cases are expected to call at Lerwick Sheriff Court.
