Man arrested over 'hanged kittens' claim

A man has been arrested in connection with wasting police time after allegations five kittens were found hanged.

The kittens were reportedly found at Westhill Shopping Centre in Aberdeenshire earlier this week.

Grampian Police said a 47-year-old man had been arrested.

A force spokesperson said: "After extensive investigation it has been found that no animals have been injured."

A report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
