Peterhead skipper ejected from over-fishing CCTV scheme

The skipper of a Peterhead fishing boat has been ejected from a CCTV monitoring scheme - which he endorsed - for breaking the rules.

John Buchan, of the Fairline, was among those chosen for a Scottish government trial where boats were fitted with CCTV to stop over-fishing.

However, the Fairline crew was caught dumping cod, when he was not on board.

Mr Buchan told BBC Scotland he still supported the scheme and would apply to rejoin.
