Moray Council 'aiming to protect leisure facilities'

  • Published

Moray Council's ruling administration has vowed not to close any of the region's leisure facilities in the next financial year.

The local authority had been looking at cutting libraries, swimming pools, community centres, public halls and museums to try to make savings of £9m.

Council leaders said they would look instead at setting up a trust.

However they warned other measures to reduce spending looked set to include redundancies.
