Hospitals in areas such as Inverurie have faced difficult conditions
Staff at NHS Grampian have been praised for their efforts in the snow, including some walking 10 miles to get to work or sleeping in wards.
The health authority said it has managed to avoid cancelling operations despite the winter weather thanks to the dedication of staff.
Medical director at NHS Grampian, Dr Roelf Dijkhausen, said he found the efforts "humbling".
He told BBC Scotland: "It has been really quite amazing."
