Funeral of Aberdeen teenager hit by car held

The funeral of a 14-year-old girl who died after she was hit by a car in Aberdeen has been held.

Danielle Reid died of her injuries at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, the day after the collision on the city's Provost Fraser Drive on 3 February.

The teenager was struck near the Upper Mastrick Way junction at about 1940 GMT.

The funeral service was at Northfield Parish Church at 1100 GMT, then Hazlehead Cemetery.

In the family death notice, she was described as a "loving daughter" and a "beloved granddaughter, great-granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend to many".
