Man injured in Aberdeen street attack

Police are seeking witnesses after a man was attacked outside an Aberdeen nightclub a week ago.

The 21-year-old was treated for a facial injury, following the assault at about 0220 BST on Thursday, outside the Aurum club on Diamond Street.

Grampian Police want to speak to a man in his 20s, who had a muscular build and was wearing a white or light blue T-shirt with a large printed image.

Police also want to speak to two women who may have witnessed the attack.

Both were in their early 20s. One had shoulder-length brown hair and was wearing a cream top and black skirt, and the other had long blonde hair and was wearing a peach-coloured blouse and black trousers.

Officers said the man they wanted to trace was believed to have remained in the area following the incident.

Pc Jillian Thomson said: "I urge anybody who saw this incident, or who has any information regarding it, to come forward.

"On this occasion there is a very real possibility that the events were witnessed by passers-by and that the public can assist us."
