Man jailed for bingo winnings woman attack in Aberdeen

A man who robbed a 63-year-old woman of her bingo winnings in Aberdeen has been jailed for 28 months.

Barry Clancy, 28, attacked Margaret Craig for her handbag in Portal Crescent in June 2010 as she made her way home.

Clancy, of Marquis Road, appeared at the city's sheriff court where he admitted kicking the victim.

Sheriff Annella Cowan ordered a six-month supervised release order after Clancy's release.

At the time of the offence Grampian Police described the attack as "terrible".
