Alistair Bowie guilty of rapes of two girls in Moray

A man has been found guilty of raping two young girls in Moray.

Alistair Bowie, 44, of Coachford, Aberdeenshire, was found guilty of abusing the two children over a period of 13 years in when they were between nine and 15.

He was convicted after a seven-day trial at the High Court in Inverness.

Judge Lord Stewart called for background reports before sentencing at a later date at the High Court in Edinburgh.

Bowie was remanded in custody and placed on the sex offenders register.
