Police investigating a serious assault in Aberdeen have released CCTV images of men they want to trace.

A 24-year-old man suffered serious arm injuries after an apparently unprovoked attack in College Street on 11 September last year between 03:00 and 03:20.

One of the men had a blue check short-sleeved shirt on, another a light blue jumper.

PC Nicola Murray, of Grampian Police, said: "Violence of this nature will not be tolerated in Aberdeen."

She added: "We would ask that anyone who has information regarding this incident come forward with that information.

"In particular, we are keen to speak to individuals shown in CCTV images as they were seen in the area around the time of the incident and may be able to assist with our inquiries.

"We would encourage these men, or anyone who knows their identity, to contact police."
