Driver, 56, survives rocky embankment crash at Cove near Aberdeen

A motorist escaped serious injury after his car plunged down a rocky embankment on the outskirts of Aberdeen.

The 56-year-old man had to be cut free from the car by Grampian Fire and Rescue Service crew members, after being trapped for more than an hour on Wednesday evening at Cove.

The car had flipped over onto its roof after the crash.

The driver was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment to his injuries.
