Salmon movement restrictions to be revoked for Shetland

Movement restrictions for fish farms in the south west Shetland mainland caught up in a salmon disease outbreak are to be revoked.

Cases of Infectious Salmon Anaemia (ISA) had been discovered in 2009.

Scott Landsburgh, of the Scottish Salmon Producers' Organisation, said it was "good news".

Environment Minister Stewart Stevenson said: "We all need to remain vigilant to ensure that we can minimise the potential for any further occurrence."
