Biker killed in Aberdeenshire crash named as Eric Robertson

A motorcyclist who was killed in a crash with a car in Aberdeenshire in the early hours of Wednesday has been named by police.

Eric Robertson, 57, from Mountblairy in Banff, died at the scene of the accident south of Turriff.

The male driver of the car was treated in hospital for minor injuries.

Police said the road was closed for five hours and officers have appealed for any witnesses to the crash to contact them.
