Peterhead Harbour rescue man airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary

A man has been airlifted to hospital after being pulled from Peterhead Harbour.

The patient was flown to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by air ambulance after Thursday afternoon's incident.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman told the BBC Scotland news website the alarm had been raised shortly before 13:00.

The RNLI Peterhead lifeboat was launched to assist with the operation. The man's condition was not yet known.
