Aberdeenshire Council to spend £20m 'windfall' on projects

Up to £20m is to be invested in one-off projects throughout Aberdeenshire after the council identified a major underspend.

Aberdeenshire Council said officers had 100 days to come up with ideas on how the windfall should be spent.

The authority said some of the cash would go into reserves, while six areas had been identified for spending.

They range from tourism and pre-school education to investment in towns and villages.
