Family shocked by death of Aberdeen man, 68, in motorcycle crash

The family of a 68-year-old man killed in a motorcycle accident have spoken of their "deep shock and sadness".

George Tawse, from Bucksburn in Aberdeen, died from injuries sustained in Thursday's crash, which involved the motorbike only.

"George's passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the family and the community," said his family in a statement released through the police.

Grampian Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident.

Mr Tawse's fatal accident occurred in Cloverfield Gardens, at the junction with Sclattie Park, in Bucksburn, at about 15:35.

The police statement added: "Although his family will, in due course, celebrate his life, they wish at this incredibly difficult time, to be allowed to comfort each other following their loss, in peace."
