Aberdeen FC 'true legend' Teddy Scott dies aged 83
Aberdeen Football Club legend Teddy Scott has died at the age of 83.
He joined the Dons as a player in the 1950s and served the club for 50 years as a coach and kit man.
Mr Scott was a key member of Sir Alex Ferguson's backroom team in the club's glory years, and served under more than a dozen managers.
He received a testimonial against Manchester United in 1999 before retiring due to ill health nine years ago.
The club said it was "deeply saddened" at the death of a "true legend".
Chief executive Duncan Fraser said: "Everyone at Aberdeen FC sends their deepest condolences to Teddy's family and friends."
Floral tributes left at Pittodrie will be passed to his family.
