Forty jobs lost as Millers at Midmar goes into liquidation

An Aberdeenshire farm shop and visitor centre has gone into liquidation with the loss of more than 40 jobs, it has been announced.

The Millers at Midmar has been running for 25 years.

Chartered accountancy firm Johnston Carmichael, which has been appointed liquidators, said there had been a downturn in trade, and new investors or a buyer had not been found.

A closing down sale got under way on Thursday.
