Appeal over woman, 82, critically hurt in Aberdeen collision

Police have appealed for witnesses after an 82-year-old woman was left critically injured after being hit by a car in Aberdeen.

The collision - with a black Kia Sportage - happened near the Beach Ballroom at about 11:00 on Wednesday.

She suffered leg and body injuries which were initially not thought to be life-threatening.

However Grampian Police said her condition had deteriorated at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
