Flybe confirms Aberdeen to Gatwick service ending in October

Flybe has confirmed it is to pull out of its Aberdeen to Gatwick service from next month.

As revealed by BBC Scotland on Thursday, the budget airline will stop the route it took over when British Airways pulled out.

Flybe said on Friday the service would end on 28 October "after much consideration".

It was announced in January 2008 that flights between Aberdeen and Gatwick would be taken over by Flybe.

It followed the decision of British Airways to drop the route from the end of March that year.
