Biker badly injured in crash on A96 near Huntly

A man has been taken to hospital after being badly injured in a crash involving his motorcycle and a car on the A96 in Aberdeenshire.

The collision involving a black Yamaha bike and a black Volkswagen Golf happened at about 14:17 near the Thomastown junction, south of Huntly.

Police said the motorcyclist had possible life-threatening injuries.

The male driver of the car was uninjured. The road was expected to remain closed for some time.
