Man held for crack cocaine haul on A90 near Laurencekirk

A man has been arrested after crack cocaine worth thousands of pounds was seized in Aberdeenshire.

Officers from the Grampian Police major investigation team recovered the drugs - with an estimated street value of £14,000 - from a vehicle which was stopped on the A90 near Laurencekirk.

The force said a 23-year-old man from Birmingham had been arrested in connection with Tuesday's incident.

He was due to appear in court on Wednesday.
