'Cowardly' armed robber hunted in Aberdeen

An armed robber who targeted an Aberdeen shop is being hunted.

The man - armed with what police said was a "bladed weapon" - escaped with alcohol from Premier Stores on Summerhill Drive on Sunday morning.

Grampian Police said a female employee was left shaken by the "cowardly" crime.

Officers want to trace a man described as being in his 20s to 30s, of stocky build, wearing a white hooded top, grey tracksuit bottoms, and white trainers.

PC Jamie Sherlock said: "The shop assistant was not hurt but was understandably shaken as a result of this cowardly robbery which took place in broad daylight.

"I'd like to appeal to any members of the public who might know this man, or who has information about the incident, to come forward as soon as possible."
