Sheepdog Fleck rescued after Shetland cliff fall

A prize-winning sheepdog was rescued after falling over 100ft-high cliffs in Shetland.

Nine-year-old Fleck was out gathering sheep with his owner Andrew Nicolson when he went missing.

He was spotted on a ledge at the bottom of a steep narrow gully which was not approachable by sea.

Coastguards were called out, and a rope rescue was mounted. Fleck was carried up to his grateful owner who said that there was not a scratch on his dog.
