The death of man who was found unconscious behind an Aberdeen community centre last month was not suspicious, police have confirmed.

John McDonald, who was 56, was found at Cummings Park Community Centre in Northfield on the morning of 30 November after a night out.

He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he later died.

Grampian Police had asked anyone who saw Mr McDonald before his death to contact them.

A spokesman said investigations had now revealed there appeared to be no suspicious circumstances and that a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal.
