Aberdeen crash teenager taken to hospital

A teenager has been taken to hospital after being struck by a car in Aberdeen.

The collision happened near the barracks in the Bridge of Don area at about 12:30.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson told the BBC Scotland news website that a male, believed to be aged about 17, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Early indications were the pedestrian's injuries were not life-threatening.

The incident resulted in delays for traffic.
