Pedestrian seriously injured by car in Aberdeen

A man has been seriously injured when he was struck by a car on the outskirts of Aberdeen.

The emergency services were called to the A944 road near the Kingswells roundabout at 04:00 on Saturday.

The man, who is 19 years old, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The driver of the car was not injured.

Police closed the main road between the Kingswells roundabout and the junction of Skene Road and Lang Stracht to allow for accident investigations.
