Biker dies after Portlethen A90 crash with car

A 24-year-old man has died after the motorbike he was riding collided with a car on the A90 Aberdeen to Dundee road.

Police said the black Suzuki GSR bike was travelling north before the collision with a southbound Ford Focus near Portlethen at about 15:45.

The driver of the car, who is 52, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with burn injuries.

The scene of the crash, about seven miles south of Aberdeen, was closed for several hours.
