The Queen has officially opened a £110m emergency care centre at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

The complex replaced the original accident and emergency unit at the site.

It has been described as an "ambitious" project by NHS Grampian.

Her Majesty also opened the Queen Elizabeth Theatre at the International School of Aberdeen. The school moved to a new purpose-built campus ahead of construction of the Aberdeen bypass.
