Motorist badly injured in crash on A90 north of Aberdeen

One person is believed to have been seriously injured after a rush hour crash on the A90 north of Aberdeen.

The two-vehicle accident happened on the A90 Balmedie to Foveran road close to the Cock and Bull restaurant.

The road was closed as a result, with traffic being diverted along the B977 at the Balmedie bypass, but later reopened.

The injured motorist was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, but the full extent of the injuries were not known.
