Apache helicopter grounded in Aberdeenshire takes off

An army attack helicopter forced to make an emergency landing near Aberdeen has taken off after repair work.

The Apache aircraft made the emergency landing in Maryculter on Monday after suffering a suspected mechanical failure.

Troops have been on site at Sunnyside Home Farm carrying out work on the helicopter since the start of the week.

The Apache had been taking part in Nato's Operation Joint Warrior training exercise.
