Child airlifted to hospital after Rathen A90 crash
Five people have been taken to hospital after a two-car crash on the A90 near Fraserburgh.
Police and paramedics were called to the crash south of Rathen at 12:47, and fire crews had to cut people free from the wreckage.
Three adults and two children were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, with one child flown there by air ambulance.
The Aberdeen to Fraserburgh road was closed in both directions between the Cortes and B9032 junctions.
Police have launched an investigation into the crash, between a silver Volkswagen Passat and a blue Peugeot 308.
The children, who were in the Peugeot, both have suspected leg injuries. The condition of the adults involved is unknown.
