Police probing the death of a man in Aberdeen have appealed for sightings of him on the day he died.

Polish national Wieslaw Koziolek, 49, was found dead in Balnagask Avenue on Monday in what have been described as "suspicious" circumstances.

Police want to hear about sightings of him in the city centre that morning before he returned to Torry.

There was a sighting of Mr Koziolek on Victoria Road, close to its junction with Grampian Road, at about 09:55.

Det Ch Insp Iain Smith said: "We know that Mr Koziolek was in Aberdeen city centre about 09:15 where he remained for a short time before returning to Torry where he was last seen at 09:55.

"His last movements could be key to our inquiries and we would appeal for anyone who may have seen him, in either the city centre or on his return to Torry, to get in touch with us as soon as they can."
