Police appeal over sexual assault in Aberdeen

Police have appealed for information about a sexual assault in Aberdeen.

Police Scotland said a 34-year-old woman got into a three-door blue car with three men in it in the Pittodrie area before being taken to the Torry Battery area.

The incident is believed to have happened between 27 September and 14 October.

Det Insp Sheila McDerment, appealing for people to come forward, said: "This was a concerning assault."

Two of the men police want to speak are white and the other is black.

'Well-used area'

The first white man was said to be well-built, with short dark hair, stubble, and was wearing a t-shirt and jeans.

The second was aged in his 20s, slim, with short blond hair, and dressed in casual clothing.

The third man was said to be well-built, with short dark hair.

Det Insp McDerment added: "The Torry Battery is a well-used area and we would particularly appeal to those who frequent the area, or who have been in the area between those dates, to come forward with any information that could help.

"We would also like to reassure the public that this type of incident is very unusual and we are using all available resources to identify the persons involved."
