Mirela Slavova named as woman killed in A952 crash

A woman who died after a crash in Aberdeenshire has been formally identified as a 22-year-old.

Mirela Slavova, from Bulgaria, was the driver of a Vauxhall Corsa which was in collision with a silver Volvo XC90 on the A952 near the Toll of Birness on Monday morning.

A man was also taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

Police Scotland appealed for any witnesses to contact them.
