CCTV and patrols after Union Terrace Gardens incidents

police tape at scene

CCTV cameras have been installed and plain clothes patrols carried out in the wake of alleged sexual assaults in Aberdeen's Union Terrace Gardens.

A rape investigation was launched in January, and a further report of sexual assault was also made in March.

Police Scotland said crime levels in the gardens were generally low.

A spokesperson said the CCTV and patrols were a bid to improve safety for everyone who uses the park.
