Cairngorms body confirmed as missing hillwalker James Robertson
A body found in the Cairngorms has been confirmed as missing hillwaker James Robertson.
The 61-year-old - an experienced hillwalker who had climbed all 284 Munros - left his home in Glasgow in March.
A body was found in the Glen Lui area in Aberdeenshire last week.
Police Scotland confirmed it was Mr Robertson and said its thoughts were with his family and friends at this "very sad time".
Det Sgt Andrew Wilson said: "I would also like to take this opportunity to highlight the commitment shown by the volunteers from Braemar, Aberdeen and Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Teams as well as the Search and Rescue Dogs Association and air support from the Coastguard.
"Thank you also to the public who provided us with information throughout as we carried out extensive searches for Mr Robertson - your support was invaluable."
