Woman badly hurt in A98 crash between Banff and Portsoy

A woman was airlifted to hospital following a crash on an Aberdeenshire road.

The two-vehicle collision happened on the A98 between Banff and Portsoy at about 17:50 on Sunday.

The woman was cut free by firefighters, and then flown by air ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Police Scotland said her injuries were serious but not life threatening. They have appealed for witnesses.
