A man has been charged after another man was taken to hospital with suspected stabbing injuries following an incident in Aberdeen city centre.
The emergency services were called to the scene at Shiprow, outside the Vue cinema, shortly after 12:00.
A 30-year-old man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Police Scotland - who described it as a "contained incident" - said a 33-year-old man had been charged.
A woman, also in her 30s, was treated by paramedics at the scene.
Insp Chris Kerr said: "We are not looking to trace anyone else in connection with our inquiries.
"Shiprow will be closed for the time being and we would like to thank members of the public for their co-operation while inquiries are carried out into the incident.
"If anyone who witnessed the incident or knows anything about it hasn't yet spoken to officers I would ask that they call Police Scotland."
