Woman, 44, jailed over drug stash

A woman has been jailed for three years after being convicted of a third drug-dealing offence.

Anne Lowe, 44, of Stranraer, was caught with more than 4,000 valium pills when police raided her home last November.

Police found the stash of valium tablets along with almost £20,000 in cash hidden in separate plastic bags at her house in Hamilton Court.

Lowe told officers she was keeping the money and drugs for her long-term partner who was in jail.

The High Court in Glasgow heard it was her third drugs offence.

The cash recovered by police was seized by the court.
