Last chance for Dumfries and Galloway Council cut ideas

  • Published

A public consultation seeking suggestions on what council services could be abandoned in order to meet £20m in savings is coming to an end.

Dumfries and Galloway Council estimates that is the amount it will need to cut spending in the next financial year.

A list of options is being drawn up but public opinion is also being sought.

The consultation is about to end and its findings will be used by the authority to help draw up its final budget in February next year.
