Peebles housing development bid submitted

Plans for a major housing development on the edge of Peebles have been submitted to Scottish Borders Council.

Cardrona businessman Mike Clay wants to erect 57 homes on land near Violet Bank.

The full application is expected to be considered by the local authority's planning committee some time at the start of next year.

Mr Clay is also seeking permission for connecting roads and 123 car parking spaces on the site.
