Hawick woman appears on robbery charges

A 21-year-old Hawick woman has appeared in court in connection with two robberies on the same day in the town.

Claire Condie is charged with two counts of assault and robbery at two general stores - The Little Shop and Londis - on Tuesday.

She made no plea or declaration during a private appearance at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.

The case was continued for further examination and she was remanded in custody.
