Lauder crash leaves man in hospital

A man is in hospital with neck, back and leg injuries after a two-vehicle crash in the Borders.

He had to be cut free by firefighters following the early morning collision on the A68 about two miles north of Lauder.

The 40-year-old man has been taken to the Borders General Hospital near Melrose for treatment.

A 32-year-old man from the other vehicle was treated for minor injuries at the crash scene.
