Thieves in £10,000 Dumfries tool shop raid

Police are investigating a £10,000 raid on a tool hire shop in Dumfries.

Thieves made off with chainsaws, stone cutters, hedge trimmers and power drills during the raid at the Galloway Hire Tools store.

The premises, which are based on the Heathhall industrial estate, were broken into in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Dumfries and Galloway Police said it appeared to have been a well-planned crime.
