Broughton and Stobo quad bike thefts investigated

Police have launched an investigation after quad bikes were stolen from three separate farms in the Scottish Borders.

The incidents took place overnight between Wednesday and Thursday at sites in Broughton and Stobo.

A Honda quad bike was taken from each farm and a quantity of diesel and tools were also stolen.

A Lothian and Borders Police statement said that the value of the property taken ran into "several thousands of pounds".

They have reminded quad bike owners to take "all reasonable steps to secure their property when not in use".

Anyone with information about the recent thefts has been asked to contact police.
