Eyemouth cash machine targeted twice

Police have issued a warning to the public after two attempts to tamper with the same Borders cash machine in a matter of days.

Both incidents happened at the Bank of Scotland ATM on Manse Road in Eyemouth.

On Wednesday traces of glue were found surrounding the card slot on the machine.

Three days later a woman trying to withdraw funds had her card kept by the machine and she contacted police believing it to be suspicious.

A device used to obtain card details was subsequently found attached to the machine.

It has been seized by police and the ATM shut by the bank.

Police are keen to trace two men seen near the machine at about 06:15 on Saturday, one of them wearing a bright, reflective top.
